Hawzah News Agency, Hojatoleslam Seyyed Saeed Hosseini, delivering this week's Friday prayer sermons at the Baqiyatullah al-Azam (PBUH) Prayer Ground, commemorated the anniversary of the first Friday prayer established by the decree of Imam Khomeini (RA) and led by Ayatollah Taleghani on July 24. He described the Friday prayer as a bastion of faith, insight, and resurgence, stressing that the Friday prayer leader is duty-bound to articulate the positions of the Leadership in his sermons.
Marking the anniversary of the passing of Salman al-Farsi, he stated: "Imam Ali (PBUH) traversed the earth from Medina to Mada'in to personally wash and shroud the body of Salman. Salman was granted the title 'From us, the Ahl al-Bayt'—a rank whose criterion is absolute obedience to the Household of the Prophet (PBUH)."
Turning to the recent message of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Hojatoleslam Hosseini added: "His Eminence, while expressing gratitude to the Iraqi people for their role in the funeral of the martyred Imam, issued the authorization for the Arbaeen pilgrimage. He emphasized that a 30-million-strong Arbaeen presence introduces Islam and Shia Islam to eight billion people across the globe."
The Kashan Friday Prayer leader stated that the Leader of the Revolution stressed the continued trust of the people in dedicated officials across all three branches of government. "His Eminence stated that the heads of the three branches are striving for the welfare of the people, and those who offer sincere criticism must be vigilant not to fracture unity," he relayed.
Reacting sharply to a recent tweet by U.S. President Donald Trump, Hojatoleslam Hosseini declared: "Trump wrote that Iran's armed forces are weak. Yet these very forces he labels as weak have crushed American equipment and personnel in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, and other countries."
He further warned: "Certain advisors have suggested to Trump the seizure of Iranian islands, but the power of this people is their faith, their prayers of supplication, and Surah Al-Fath. Our martyred Leader, through his foresight, equipped the navy, and our anti-ship resistance missiles await America." He stressed: "The Iranian people declare that if the filthy feet of the Americans touch Islamic soil, a disaster worse than Vietnam will befall them."
